很久以前，鸟类和走兽，因为发生一点争执，就爆发了战争。并且，双方僵持，各不相让。

有一次，双方交战，鸟类战胜了。蝙蝠突然出现在鸟类的堡垒。“各位，恭禧啊！能将那些粗暴的走兽打败，真是英雄啊！我有翅膀又能飞，所以是鸟的伙伴！请大家多多指教！”

这时，鸟类非常需要新伙伴的加入，以增强实力。所以很欢迎蝙蝠的加入。

可使蝙蝠是个胆小鬼，等到战争开始，便不露面，躲在一旁观战。后来，当走兽战胜鸟类时，走兽们高声地唱着胜利的歌。蝙蝠却又突然出现在走兽的营区。“各位恭禧！把鸟类打败！实在太棒了！我是老鼠的同类，也是走兽！敬请大家多多指教！”
